ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for reporting about Employment and Labour Dispute in person, the applicants (workers) has to first notify their employer.
  2. The workers should compose a piece of writing to make the employer aware of the dispute that the workers have.
  3. Within the provided time, the employer should respond to the notification as applicable.
  4. If employer did not respond, the workers should take the matter to the Minister of the Labour and Employment.
  5. In that case, the workers should prepare a Complaint letter explaining the Employment and Labour Dispute.

  7. Visit the office and submit the complaint letter along with the other documents (as required) to the Minister.
  8. The Minister will make arrangements for the mediation meeting between the management and worker’s representative.
  9. The Minister will hear both the sides and their claims and then make a proposal of resolution to the parties.
  10. If any of the parties is against the resolution made by the Minister, the workers shall officially proceed to declare a trade dispute.
  11. For that, the workers should visit the Minister’s office and obtain and complete a prescribed format of application.
  12. On receipt of the application, the Minister would formulate a conciliation panel for arriving at a solution.
  13. If the dispute could not be resolved even after, it will be recommended to the Industrial court where it would be resolved at any cost.
