Apply online through Digilocker
- User shall use the following Link
- In the given page, please click on the “Login / Register” button provided on the top right corner of the screen to reach the “Login or Create Account” page.
- Enter your registered mobile number at the prompts as applicable and click on the “Continue” button to reach the “Verify OTP” screen.
- Please enter the OTP at the prompt as appropriate to complete the OTP authentication process and click on the “Verify” button.
- On successful verification, the dashboard page will be provided.
- The page will display documents already issued under the “Your issued documents” section.
- Please select the Marriage certificate document type if issued already and it is listed to reach the corresponding page.
- Please follow the page prompts as appropriate and follow the page requisite to download the marriage certificate.
- If not displayed under the “Your issued documents” section, then click on the “Drive” option to reach the drive page with used space information.
- Ih the citizen already saved his or her document in the drive, please browse through the page for the document type to download.
- If not saved in Disk, then click on the “Search” or “Search Documents” option or enter the certificate type in the “Search for documents” prompt and click on the search icon.
- In the resulting page, please look for the “States” section and click your respective state as applicable.
- In the given state centric page, please click on the certificate type as applicable.
- The resulting page will display the certificate or the system will prompt the user to enter required details.
- Please follow the page prompts as appropriate and follow the page requisite to download the certificate.
Apply online through MARREG for the marriage registered period after 01/06/2019
- Those who registered their marriage successfully through “MARREG” are provided with copies of certificate of registration of their marriage in their respective registered Email Id’s after digitally signed by the Marriage Officer/Hindu Marriage Registrar. A certified copy can be obtained by following the below steps.
- To get a certified copy of Marriage Certificate, the applicant has to use the following link
- On the given home page, the applicant has to mouse over the “Services” option provided on the right part of the screes under “Register Your Marriage” session and then click on the “Certified Copy of Marriage Records” option from the given list.
- From the redirected page, the applicant has to select the “From 01/06/2019 (Online)” option.
- In the given prompt, enter the registered Email Id (Used at the time of Marriage registration).
- Click on the “Proceed” Button.
- The applicant shall enter the required information as appropriate for the given prompt under info tab. Once all the details are entered, click “Next” button.
- Select the proper reason as appropriate.
- Please provide the number required for “No of copies required” option.
- The amount will be displayed as per the number of copies entered. Click on “Proceed” button.
- Enter proper information as appropriate in the respective fields of “Depositor Details”,
- Click on “Next” button.
- You will be redirected to “WBIFMS” Portal. Link
- Please follow the page prompts as applicable and make payment.
- System generated challan will be displayed for the remittance of payment. Keep it safe for your future reference.
- After successful payment you will be redirected to “MARREG” Portal.
- A Request ID will be displayed. The ID should be noted for future reference.
- For more details check registered Email ID.
Apply online through MARREG for the marriage registered prior up to 31/05/2019
- The applicant has to use the following link
- On the given home page, the applicant has to mouse over the “Services” option provided on the right part of the screes under “Register Your Marriage” session and then click on the “Certified Copy of Marriage Records” option from the given list.
- From the redirected page, the applicant has to select the “Upto 31/05/2019 (Manual)”
- Click on “Proceed” Button to reach “Request for Certified Copy of Marriage Records (Manual)” page.
- Enter the information required in the respective fields under “Info” as appropriate and click “Next” button to get the “Email” session prompts.
- Enter the Email ID as appropriate and follow the screen prompts as applicable to reach the “Payment” session prompts.
- Select proper Reason
- Enter No of copy required (Payment Amount can be seen)
- Click on “Proceed” Button
- Enter proper information in the respective fields of “Depositor Details”.
- Click on “Next” button.
- You will be redirected to “WBIFMS” Portal. Link
- Please follow the page prompts as applicable and make payment.
- System generated challan will be displayed for the remittance of payment. Keep it safe for your future reference.
- After successful payment you will be redirected to “MARREG” Portal.
- A Request ID will be displayed. The ID should be noted for future reference.

Apply at the marriage office
- The applicant shall visit the respective marriage office for their respective area as applicable.
- To get the respective office details, the applicant shall use the following link
- On the given home page, the applicant has to mouse over the “Public Info” option provided on the right part of the screes under “Register Your Marriage” session and then click on the “Search MO” option from the given list.
- In the given “SEARCH FOR MARRIAGE OFFICERS” page, please select and provide required information as appropriate to find the address details.
- The applicant shall visit the respective office with the set of documents required for applying.
- Meet the clerk or the counter staff to get the application form or the window of the respective section to apply.
- The applicant shall provide the required details as demanded for the process.
- Once the details are provided, remit necessary payment as appropriate.
- The authorities will make entries about the request and provide the acknowledgement for the application submitted.
- Please keep the acknowledgement provided for future reference.
- The physical certified copy of marriage certificate will be issued as advised.
