Procedure

1. Complete a Driver License Replacement/Renewal Request While Out-of-State form. You may also obtain this form by calling 360.902.3900 or sending an email to [email protected].
2. Prepare a check or money order for the fees (payable to the Department of Licensing).
3. Mail the completed form and fee to:
   Department of Licensing

   Shelton, WA 98584-2987

Eligibility

You can replace your license by mail if:

• Your license is in good standing (not suspended, revoked, surrendered, or cancelled).
• You wont be back in Washington within 30 days.

You cant replace it by mail if:

• You have an enhanced driver license (EDL).
• You have a commercial driver license (CDL).
• Your license is suspended, revoked, surrendered, or canceled.
• You don't have a valid Social Security number on file with the Washington State Department of Licensing.

Fees

Replace lost or stolen card: $20

Validity

Your replacement license expires on the same date as your lost or stolen license.
