Changing your AddressEdit
- If you have a Victorian driver license or learner permit, you may change your residential, postal and garaged address by completing this site: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Licences/RenewReplaceOrUpdate/UpdateYourDetails/ChangeOfAddressOnline.htm
- If you change your residential address, an address sticker will be post to you to put on the back of your license within 7 working days.
Change of NameEdit
- You will need to attend a VicRoads Customer Service Centre in person to present the required change of name documents and to have a new photo taken for your driver license.
- Your updated license card will be mailed to the address on your license in approximately 10 days.
Required DocumentsEdit
Change of AddressEdit
- your driver license or learner permit number (if you have one)
- your vehicle(s) registration numbers
Change of NameEdit
- Original documents for evidence of the name change; and
- A photo driver license or learners permit*, or
- Multiple evidence of identity documents
- statutory declaration (If the previous driver license or learner permit card has been lost, destroyed or stolen)
Change of GenderEdit
If sex affirmation surgery has taken place in conjunction with a change of name
- Alteration of Sex in Birth Register or Recognised Details' certificate from Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) or its equivalent from another Australian jurisdiction e.g. a birth certificate with the post-operative sex on it
- Change of Name Registration from BDM
If sex affirmation surgery has taken place and a change of name has previously been recorded or there is no change of name
- Alteration of Sex in Birth Register or Recognised Details' certificate from BDM or its equivalent from another Australian jurisdiction e.g. a birth certificate with the post-operative sex on it.
If sex affirmation surgery has not taken place and a change of name only
- Change of name Registration' from BDM.

EligibilityEdit
- VicRoads only authorises use of the on-line change of address service by the individual to whom the information relates and only for the purpose of providing a change of address as required under the Road Safety Act 1986.
FeesEdit
There are no fees for updating your information on your driver's license.

InstructionsEdit
- You must have a residential address recorded on your driver license or permit. It is your responsibility to notify VicRoads of your change of address within 14 days.
- If you change your name you must notify VicRoads within 14 days to adjust your driver licence and vehicle registration records.

Whenever you change your address or any other details on your driver license or learner permit, you must notify VicRoads. You can update your address quickly and conveniently online which means there is no need to get to a Customer Service Centre.
