Apply Online:

  1. To Apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT) Work Permit, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. If the applicant is an existing user, they can log in directly using their “Email” and “Password”.
  3. If the applicant is a new user, they have to register first by clicking on the “Create an account” option.
  4. The applicant has to provide their email address when they create an account.
  5. While registering, the applicant has to provide all necessary information in the application form and finally click on the “Sign Up” button.
  6. Once the registration is successful, the applicant can log in with their “Email” and “Password”.
  7. After logging in, the applicant has to choose the service of “Replace green card” from the option list.
  8. The Applicant must provide all information necessary for the application procedure online.
  9. The Fee for this procedure can be paid online.
  10. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  11. USCIS may require that the applicant has to appear for an interview or provide fingerprints, a photograph, and/or signature at any time to verify the identity and other information.
  12. The applicant gets the appointment slot date and time from the officer through call or mail.
  13. The applicant has to visit for the biometric purpose.
  14. Once the verification process gets completed, the applicant will get the notification through mail.
  15. Also, the applicant will get the certificate through mail.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT) is part-time work that is connected to an F-1 student's major field of study.
  • Eligible students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT employment authorization before (pre-completion) or after (post-completion) finishing their academic education (post-completion).
  • All pre-completion OPT periods, however, will be deducted from the possible post-completion OPT term.
