Applying process in Turks and Caicos Islands for citizen and non-citizen.
- A. Apply in-person
- Applicant shall apply for Police Clearance Certificate in-person with any “local police station”.
- Go to the respective office. Application forms can be obtained from the office on visit. Don’t forget to take the required copy of documents along with originals to the office.

- Please follow as per authorities guidelines and submit the completed application along with documents. Applicant should pay for any charges, if required as advised.
- This application will be processed by respective department.
- The certificate can be collected from the office where applicant applied in-person upon notification or issued as per norms.
Applying process - overseas for citizen and non-citizen.
- A. Apply through mail(post).
- Applicant has to apply with the “Police Headquarters” office to obtain the PCC through mail(post).

- A copy of your passport while living in Turks and Caicos Islands.

- Proofs of legal stay (copy of passport held during the said period with respective stamp and seal).

- Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
- Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
- The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
- Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.

Local Requests
- You may apply in person at your local police station. There is a fee of US$15 ($10 in stamp fees and $5 in processing fees).
Non-Resident Requests
- You can apply for a police certificate by writing directly to the police headquarters. Include the following documents with your request: copy of the bio-data page of your passport, your passport page showing any Turks and Caicos immigration stamps, including entry stamps as evidence that you were living in the Turks and Caicos, a copy of any immigration status you had at the time of residence (work permit, resident status or citizenship) and US$15 ($10 in stamp fees and $5 in processing fees). You can obtain a form by writing to Police Headquarters.

- date of birth,
- identification number,
- place and district of birth,
- State of Birth
- permanent address,
- the alien's country of birth and,

Need for the DocumentEdit
A police certificate is an official document issued by police or government agency of a country to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may or may not have. Criminal records may include arrest, conviction, and possibly criminal proceedings.
Police certificate is also known as good citizen certificate, good conduct certificate, police clearance certificate, or judicial record extracts. Applicants may have to submit fingerprints and certain personal information to request a criminal record check, and the police or government agency may charge a fee. If no record found, the police certificate will indicate such.
In many immigration cases you may be requested by relevant Government to present Police Clearance Certificate from another country where you have resided for some time. If you are going through immigration process, you will definitely be asked for such a certificate.

Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit
A police clearance certificate is a copy of your criminal record or a declaration of the absence of any criminal record. Police clearance certificates are different in each country and territory and may be called police certificates, good conduct certificates, judicial record extracts, pcc, etc. They are issued by police authorities or government departments and used by Citizenship and Immigration to prevent individuals who possess a risk to Country's security from entering the country.

Each individual has the right to contact any police station or the judiciary for the purpose of ordering a certificate regarding his or her criminal record, which will be sent according to the law, directly to foreign missions, to missions abroad or to international adoption agencies, depending on the available data.
It is the applicants responsibility to contact the relevant authorities to obtain the necessary police certificates or clearances. Each countrys procedures are different. Applicants may have to apply to more than one level of government or more than one agency - municipal, provincial, state, federal and the police, courts or similar governmental agencies for the police certificate. If a police certificate cannot be obtained from any of the countries on the list, provide a written explanation why and an original letter from the police authority confirming that it will not issue a certificate.
In most cases, you must contact the police or government to ask for a certificate. You may have to:
