Procedure

Apply In-Person

• To apply for Medical Certificate for Driver License in Tripura the applicant has to approach the registered medical practitioner appointed for the purpose by the state government.
  
• Information related to the registered medical practitioner can be obtained from the RTO office. The RTO offices details can be obtained from the “Office and Location” Section of this page.
  
• You will have to get the certificate in application Form No.1A by medical practitioner and later the certificate needs to be submitted to the licensing authority.
  
• Application form no 1A can be downloaded from following link: Medical Certificate Form No. 1A
  
• The applicant would be examined for their distant vision, hearing ability, condition of the arms, legs, hands and joints of both extremities of the applicant.
  
• Based on Doctor’s judgement, the applicant will be given the medical certificate.

Eligibility

• Age eligibility: 18 years
  
• For vehicles up to 50 CC engine capacity & without gear - 16 years (Provided parents/guardian consent is obtained.)
  
• For commercial vehicle - 20 years

2. Three Identification marks
   
3. Any Vision defect
   
4. Any problem to distinguish the pigmentary colours, red and green
   
5. Eye sight (distant vision)
   
6. Hearing ability
   
7. Any night blindness problem
   
8. Any defect or deformity or loss of member which would interfere with the efficient performance of his duties
   
9. Blood group of the applicant (if the applicant so desires that the information may be noted in his driving license).
   
10. RH factor of the applicant
