Trinidad and Tobago - Apply for a Hydrocarbon Pipeline Licence

The following steps should be followed when applying for a Hydrocarbon Pipeline Licence:
- Consult the Chief Technical Officer to obtain instructions for the preparation of a report to be attached to your application. This must be done before preparing the report to ensure all the relevant information is included.
- Prepare a report giving the particulars specified under Section 6 of the Petroleum Regulations in such detail as specified by the Chief Technical Officer.
- Apply in writing, requesting a Hydrocarbon Pipeline Licence, and attach the report. Applications should be addressed and delivered to:

FeesEdit
An application fee of TT$500.00 is paid upon submission of the application to the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs. The Ministry will accept a manager's cheque or cash, paid in person to the Accounts Department.
Payments can be made between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:15 pm, Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
If the application is approved, before the license can be granted, a license fee is to be paid as follows:
Pipeline Carrying Capacity - Pipeline Licence Fee (TT$)
- Less than 2 MMcf/d - 5 000.00
- Between 2 and 100 MMcf/d - 10 000.00
- Greater than 100 MMcf/d - 40 000.00

Need for the DocumentEdit
A licence is required to move petroleum, petroleum products or petrochemicals by pipeline beyond the area of a production in Trinidad and Tobago. The regulation and licensing of hydrocarbon pipelines is provided for in the Petroleum Act and the Petroleum Regulations.
