Trinidad and Tobago - Apply for Uniform Grant

- To those who are already a client of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, you must meet with your officer to make a request for a Uniform Grant.
- Those who are in need and victims of natural disasters who wish to apply for the grant should visit the nearest Social Welfare Division Office or an office of the National Family Services Division.
- You will be asked to present your national identification card, a job letter or pay slip (if you are employed). You will also need to provide an invoice or quotation for new school uniforms from the supplier. And for victims of fire, a letter coming from the Fire Services Division.
- An interview will be conducted by the representative of the Ministry who will submit a recommendation for approval if you meet the requirements. A letter of approval or rejection will be sent to you once a decision has been made.
Required DocumentsEdit
- National identification card.
- Invoice or quotation for new school uniforms from the supplier.
- Job letter or pay slip (if you are employed).
- Letter from the Fire Services Division for victims of fire or from your Municipal Corporation (for other disasters, such as floods).
Note: All invoices and relevant documentation must be provided within six weeks of submitting an application.

Applicants for a Uniform Grant must be:
- a needy person
- a client of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services (i.e. currently receiving some form of assistance from the Ministry) *or a victim of a natural disaster who needs to replace the school uniforms that have been lost or destroyed.

InstructionsEdit
The Uniform Grant helps pay for school uniforms. The grant is granted to children of needy persons and persons already in receipt of assistance from the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services and victims of natural disasters.
The maximum amount disbursed is TT$200.00 per child (up to four children per household).
