To Apply TR (Transport, Commercial) to your Driver License in Telangana the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which your area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office : RTO Office List
Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
Following application forms are required Form 8, Form 5 (only for those who trained through Driving School) and Form 15 (Those who trained through Driving School).. Application forms can be downloaded from the following link : Application forms Application forms
The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for the license by reading through the eligibility criteria that has been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
As a first step, please schedule an appointment at an appropriate date and time that is suitable for you.
Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

Apply through State Portal

Application for TR (Transport, Commercial) to your Driver License can be made through State Online Portal
Click on the “Click here to book online slot” option.
The applicant will be redirected to a new page.
Please click the “Addition of Class of Vehicle to Driving License” link that is displayed under the “Driving License” section of the screen.
Click on the “Slot Booking” option and follow the instructions on the page.
Finally click on the “I Agree” option.
In the next screen presented, fill in the mandatory details and request for OTP. Enter the Captcha and other details and click on the “Submit” button.
You will be taken to a screen where you have to choose the day and time that you are planning to visit the RTO office related to the application and click “Next” button that is displayed on the bottom of the screen.
Please follow the instructions that are displayed in the following pages for filling the application forms and making payments and uploading required documents.
Take printout of the application form including acknowledgement and go to RTO office before 11:30 a.m. on the date of appointment and Present the completed application forms along with required documents in one of the counters and pay the appropriate

Aadhaar Card
Form 5 (only for those who trained through Driving School ).

Driving License
Valid Learner’s License for which additional class of vehicle is required.
Documents of vehicle in which applicant proposes to appear for test of competence to drive (such as Registration Certificate, Insurance Certificate, Tax Card, Pollution under Control Certificate, Fitness Certificate in case of Transport Vehicle).
Passport size photographs-3 copies
Consent letter from vehicle owner, to conduct driving test in his vehicle if the vehicle is not owned by the applicant.
Proof of address(Ration Card / Electoral Roll / Aadhaar Card /Pay slip issued - Govt. Office (or) a Local Body)
School Certificate, Birth Certificate
Affidavit Sworn by the applicant before an Executive (or) a First Class Judicial Magistrate (or) Notary Public
proof of age(any one of the following to be produced)
- Ration Card / Electoral Roll / LIC Policy / Aadhaar Card / Passport
Medical Certificate in the case of applicant age above 50 years

EligibilityEdit

Applicant should have a valid one year old license, which can be called as one year of experience.
Qualification : Minimum 8th Pass
Should have local residential proof
Applicant should be minimum 20 years old

valid for 3 years from the date of its issuance

Subsequently it can be renewed for a further period of 3 years and so on

Processing TimeEdit

Within 3 days
- Once the document and application processed – the applicant will receive a serial number on the registered mobile number - then applicant have to attend the test
- After completion of Driving test, the License will be issued on the same day or within a weeks time
- Renewal can be obtained immediately

One need to get TR Driver License in ordered to drive commercial transportation including light goods carrier and passenger carrier, even if he has a valid driving license to operate two wheeler and car
TR Driver license is issued for eligible driver with valid one year old driving license
