To apply for Goods Carriage (Pucca) Permit in Telangana the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which your area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office : RTO Office List
Application Forms PCOA (PERMIT IN RESPECT OF A PARTICULAR CONTRACT CARRIAGE TO BE REGULARLY SO USED) is required. Application forms can be obtained from the following link : link for forms

Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
As a first step, please schedule an appointment at an appropriate date and time that is suitable for you.
Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed.

Apply online

To Apply for Goods Carriage Permanent Permit, the applicant has to use the following link – link
The applicant has to click “Online service” and select “vehicle related service” from the drop down menu.
Next the applicant has to select the state name from the drop down menu.
Enter the registration number and select the state & RTO and then click “Proceed” button.
Click on “Other Service” and select the apply for permit.
Now enter the vehicle number and click on “Proceed” button.
Enter the mobile number and click the “Send OTP” button.
Enter the OTP number and click the “Proceed”.
Now, Select the Permit Type “Goods Permit/National Permit”
Enter all the details in the application form.
After entering all the details click on the “Submit” details.
Make Permit Fee Online Clicking on “Pay Now” and download Payment Receipt.
The permit copy now will be saved.
After the verification process gets completed, the applicant has to get the permit by visiting the office or it can be downloaded from the site.
The processing time for this procedure takes up to 20 – 40 days.

Registration Certificate of the vehicle.
Fitness Certificate of the vehicle.
Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.
Insurance Certificate.
Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
Affidavit Sworn by the applicant before an Executive (or) a First Class Judicial Magistrate (or) Notary Public
Passport size photo-2
Pollution under control certificate
PROOF OF ADDRESS (any one of the following to be produced)

- LIC Policy
- Passport

The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years

ValidityEdit

Permit is usually valid for 5 years
The renewal of permit can be obtained with Vehicle fitness certificate and FC as per authorities of concerned RTO
The age of the vehicle is also considered to restrict the validity of the permit

NOTE: Validity differs with the type of vehicle and also for the load the vehicle can manage

Need for the DocumentEdit

A Regional Transport Authority may, on an application made to it under Rule 174 (iv) of the Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 grant a goods carriage permit to be valid throughout the State
Goods Carriage Permit is needed for a vehicle operator to ply his vehicle to carry goods from one place to another.
Vehicles with this permit……
- Be used only in a specified area or on a specified route or routes
- That goods of a specified nature shall not be carried
- That goods shall be carried at specified rates etc;,

The age of the vehicle should not exceed 12 years.
Goods Carriage National Permit means a permit granted by authority to a goods carriage vehicle to operate through-out India or in such States not being less than four in number including the states in which the permit is issued

Holder of the permit shall furnish to the Regional Transport Authority such periodical returns, statistics and other information as the State Government may, from time to time, prescribe.
FC (for clearance) is a process meant for reviewing the condition of the vehicle by the RTO authorities
