Apply In-Person:
- Renewal of Horticultural Crop Nursery Registration is done in person by visiting the Agriculture and Food Authority Board Head Offices in Ghana.

- A Horticultural Crop Nursery Registration certificate expires on the 30th June of every year and certificate holders wishing for renewal thereof may apply by 1st June preceding the expiry of the registration.
- Application form should obtain the respective office.
- Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- The completed renewal application form submitted to the respective office.
- This will be followed by an inspection of applicant by the Board field Officers.
- After investigations the board’s field offices will submit their findings to the county horticultural & Other Industrial Crops working group.
- The working group will make recommendations on the application and forward their report to board for the final board approval.
- Upon a successful approval the Horticulture Crop Nursery Certificate applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay renewal registration fee to the board and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
- Once the renewal registration processing is done the renewed Horticultural Crop Nursery Registration Certificates is issued to the applicant by the County government.
- New certificate takes a maximum of 15 days to process.

- Copy of current certificate of registration.
- returns of pyrethrum stock dealt with in the previous year
- Identification Cards/ Passport Number of the applicant
- Ghana Revenue Authority Pin No. certificate
- Police clearance certificate
- Copy of Receipt for Seed acquisition
- A Phytosanitary Certificate of seed and Mother block
- Any other requirements that may be prescribed by the Authority from time to time

- Any person, cooperative society, group or company whose license is expired can apply for renewals.
FeesEdit
- Renewal Application fees is GHS 1,000 (Non-refundable)
- Registration certificate fees GHS. 10,000 (paid annually)
ValidityEdit
- The certificate is valid for a period of one year.
- The certificate expires on the 30th June of every year.

- Application for registration should be sent to the County where the nursery/mother block is located.
- This form shall be accompanied by the prescribed fees and submitted to the County government.
- The application shall reach the Authority within 15 days of approval by the county government.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- A horticultural crop nursery certificate authorizes the holder to operate a horticultural crop nursery.
- No person can operate a horticultural crop nursery unless he is the holder of a current registration certificate issued in respect thereof by the Board after consultation with the Director. Therefore one needs to renew their certificates to continue with operations
Information which might helpEdit
- This Certificate is Valid for 1 year from date of issue.
- This Certificate is not Transferable to any other person, or nursery site.
- All Certified planting materials which are not distributed during the certification’s period will be subject to re-inspection.
- To establish or operate a horticultural crop nursery or a mother block in any area, that crop nursery or mother block must be registered by the directorate through an application made in the prescribed form and accompanied by a non-refundable fee.
- If the applicant is successful, the directorate shall issue a certificate which is renewable annually, subject to site inspection.
- The application and fee is submitted to the Horticulture Crop Development Authority which is the government’s agency for the horticultural sector.
