Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for processed food export permit or license in Tanzania is available in Tanzania Bureau of Standards contact link
2. Applicant must provide all information needed in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are required for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
6. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, a notification will be provided to the applicant within 3 days.
7. Applicant can visit the office after receiving this notification and collect their license from concerned authorities.
8. If there is no information regarding the permit is provided, then, the applicant can visit the office for knowing status of their application.

Any individual who is also a trader and intending to export processed foods from Tanzania to all other parts of the world is eligible.

Fees

Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.

Validity

Export License is valid for 2 years.
