Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply licence or permit to operate an air service, the applicant has to visit the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority contact link
2. Applicant should provide all the information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant must attach both photocopies and originals of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, to operate an air services provider license will be provided within 1 month.
8. If there is no information regarding the license is provided within a month, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.

Apply Online

1. Application for getting operate an air services provider license or permit is available in the following login link
2. If the applicant is an existing user, they can login directly by entering their “Email”, “Password” and provide the security code under “Type Security Code”.
3. After entering email address and password, the applicant must click on “Get code” button for getting the security code.
4. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant must click on “Register” option.
5. The following page asks for “Type of Client” which the applicant must choose as “Individual”.
6. The next page requests for a few information from the applicant.
7. Applicant must completely fill the application form.
8. Applicant should attach signature as a pdf file in the registration form.
9. Finally, the applicant should click on save for completing new registration.
10. After registering, they can login using their Email address and Password.
11. Once entering the website, the applicant should choose “Apply for operate an air services provider license”.
12. The application form for new license will open, in which the applicant should provide all the information that are requested.
13. Applicant should attach digital copies of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
14. Fee for this procedure can be paid online.
15. Finally, the applicant must click on “Submit” button for submitting the application form.
16. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within 1 month via post or the applicant can visit the office to get the license right after getting notified via SMS or Email.
17. If there is no information regarding the license is provided within a month, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.
