Procedure

1. To renew a trademark resignation, you will need to complete and submit an application for renewal to the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Renewals can be done online or in person by visiting a PRV Office.
2. You will need to complete the renewal application form. The form is available online (see link provided under 'Documents to Use' section).
3. PRV will check if your application is formally correct and that all the necessary documents have been included.
4. Pay the renewal fee. For applications submitted online, you will pay for the fee online using a credit or debit card or through your Internet bank.

• Basic fee for renewal for protection in one class, of trademark or collective mark, electronic filing: 1 800
• Basic fee for renewal for protection in one class, of trademark or collective mark, paper filing: 2 300
• Application for renewal for each additional class: 900

Validity

Trademark registration is valid for 10 years. After that, it can be renewed for 10 years at a time, for any number of times.

The Office is responsible for the registration of Trademarks, Patents, Designs and Copyright in the country.
