Sweden - Obtain a Moped Class II Driving License

1.) Training and test for moped class II

The training is theoretical, but it can also contain practical elements. The test you are doing is only theoretical (written). The areas addressed during the training, knowledge of the moped, traffic, dangerous situations in traffic and what humans can and can not do. It may also include control training and other practical parts.

2.) The Theory Test

The theory test you should do contain 25-35 questions about the rules and risks, but also on the moped, man and the environment.

You must be entitled to at least 80 percent of the questions for the test to be approved. You must be 15 years old to take the test.

Only those authorized by the Transport Agency may educate and organize tests for drivers' licenses.

3.) Once you have made an approved thesis, it is reported to the Transportation Board, which sends an application form for a license to you.

The moment Transport Agency has received both your application and payment, they will begin processing your application and when finished your license will be sent to you.

4.) You may start driving once you received notification that your test results are submitted to the Transportation Board. But until you have received the license itself you must at all times carry with you a document proving your identity, such as a passport or ID card. Driving with an ID document is valid only during these two months. Once you have received your license you must have it with you every time you drive.

If you have not applied for the issuance of your license and paid the manufacturing fee within one year from date of issuance, the license becomes invalid and you must apply for another one.

You are allowed to bring your own photo.

It is important that the photo is of good quality and follow these instructions:

The photo submitted in a copy and will be good likeness.
The face will be imaged directly in front of his face visible.
Both eyes should be completely visible and the pupils should be clearly visible. Must look at the camera.
The photograph should have good clarity. The focus should be in the pupil. Reflectors are not seen in glasses.
You may not have dark or colored glasses.
You may not have any headgear or similar.
The face should be evenly lit and the background should be light and no shadows.
The whole head is visible, not just the face.
Interpupillary distance and POINT OF THE CHIN should be 14-17 mm.
The photograph should be renskuret 35 mm wide, 45 mm high and have rounded or sharp corners.
Both black and white photos and color photos are approved. On the final license will be the photograph that is reproduced in black and white even though color photo submitted.

EligibilityEdit

To get a license for a moped class II requires that you must:

Be aged 15 years old
Have attended a course at an approved educator
Pass the theory examination, you need not do a practical test.

FeesEdit

The fee for the license is SEK 150.

ValidityEdit

Your driver's license must be renewed every ten years if you have a driver's license with jurisdiction AM, A1, A2, A, B or BE. If you have a license with higher permissions (C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE) license must be renewed every five years to remain valid.

Holders of Moped Class II licenses are allowed to drive a moped designed for a speed of 25 km / hour and has an engine of power not exceeding 1 kW.

Driver's license with probation

All new license holders in Sweden receive a probationary period of two years. The probation period specified on the license with a numerical code (100). Probationary means you have to make a new driving test (both theory and practical tests) to get a new license, if you are guilty of any offense which leads to license revoked during the probation period. This applies no matter how short blocking time (recall the time) is

If you are guilty of driving offenses, you may get a warning and or have your license revoked.
