Sweden - Obtain a D1 Medium Bus Driver License

1.) You need a valid driving permit to practice driving and make driving tests. When you apply for a provisional driving license checks Transport Agency if you meet the demands of society on everyone to take a driving license.

2.) You must be able to meet personal and medical requirements for driving license. The Transport Agency will look into your ability to follow traffic rules, and check if you have been taken into custody by the police because you were too drunk, or if you have done any crime.

3.) Once you have the valid permit that covers the jurisdiction where you can practice driving, you can now start taking driving lessons.

You need to practice and experience a variety of situations in traffic to get the potential to cope with the rules of traffic. You do this by practicing driving.

Driving with a heavy vehicle makes special demands on the operation, which you can only learn by practicing. You should include learn to use the right shift and brake technology. You can plan your driving and have attention to other traffic, especially with respect to the space vehicle requires.

Special rules for the undergoing driver training

4.) Theory Test

Through the knowledge test, you should show that you have the theoretical knowledge so that you can run with the review of the traffic. There is a particular thesis for each license eligibility.

The theory test consists of 55 questions. In addition, there are five test questions. The answers to the test questions are not included in the results. The test time is 40 minutes. You must correctly answer at least 44 of the 55 questions for the test to be approved.

Beginning January 19, 2013, any person who will perform the test for driver's license must have their photographs taken at the Swedish Transport Administration before the test. You can not bring your own photo. Shooting will take place with the Transport Administration photographic equipment available at all locations where it is possible to make the thesis.

5.) After the test

You must correctly answer at least 44 of the 55 questions for the test to be approved. If you answered wrong on some issues, it is in the written decision which areas of knowledge the questions concerned.

Accepted theory

Immediately after the test, you will receive a written decision that the test is approved. An approved thesis is valid for one year. If you have not pass the driving test during the one-year period, you must do the knowledge test, the new fee.

6.) Driving test

The driving test will show that you can handle the vehicle in traffic and you can run with good judgment in a safe manner. The practical test is a check that you have the skills required to drive in traffic.

Test Vehicles

The practical test shall be conducted with an appropriate bus. Approved safety belts shall be at the locations used. The bus can be driven at a speed of 90 km / h and shall be equipped with a recording device. The bus will also be equipped with a clutch pedal and shifted manually if the sample does not intend driving license with restriction to automatic vehicles. You must provide a bus that meets these requirements.

If the bus has been in service before July 19, 2008 may be used during driving tests, even if it does not have a clutch pedal, provided that the swap can be performed manually (by hand). The exemption applies until 30 September 2013.

Taxes and insurance will be paid. Otherwise, the bus will be reliable for safety. The bus must be registered in Sweden and you'll see the most recently issued certificate of registration in the driving test.

The bus may not have bans, be an emergency vehicle or a hearse. It must not be loaded with dangerous goods or animals.

The bus shall have a total weight of 4,000 kg. It will also:

be between 5 and 8 feet long,
be designed and constructed so that no more than 16 passengers in addition to the driver,
be equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS).

7.) Before the test

To do the test at the Swedish Transport Administration, you must be able to prove your identity with an acceptable and valid identification document (ID card), and the photo on the ID document must be good likeness.

You must also certify that you do not have a driving license issued by another EEA State.

Note: Do you have laser surgery your eyes and no longer need to wear glasses or contact lenses? Then you must notify the Transport Agency and get the condition removed before you get to the test, otherwise you will not do the test.

8.) During the test

Requirements to practice driving

In order to practice driving for permission D1 you should:

be 20 years old
have a valid driving license that covers the jurisdiction you must practice driving for
have an approved supervisor if you should practice driving private

In order to practice driving with private vehicles requiring permission D1 need to learner drivers have a driving license category B or previously have had a driving license, which included D1 eligibility.

The supervisor should bring their supervisor's certificate during driving practice. The greenish white learner plate should be placed where it is clearly visible from the rear.

To get a D1 driving license, there are six requirements you need to meet.
