Need for the DocumentEdit
- A paternity test application is made to prove the biological relation of any individual with another who is assumed to have such a relation.
Information which might helpEdit
- A paternity test analyses your blood group to determine whether you are biologically related to someone else. Negative results prove that you are not related but positive results show only that you could be.
- However, if a man denies paternity but refuses to undergo a confirmatory test, it raises questions about his credibility. If other evidence suggests strongly that he is the father, the court may take his refusal into account and make a presumption of biological fatherhood.
Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit
Please explain what are other uses of obtaining this document/certificate. e.g. Birth Certificate can be used as proof of identity.
