Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Enrol in Manufacturing Competitiveness Enhancement Programme (MCEP), the applicant must go to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Office in South Africa. Contact Link
2. The applicant must submit a hand written proposal letter to the respective authorities in the DTI office.
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application letter along with the necessary documents must be submitted to the respective authorities in the DTI.
5. After verifying the documents completely, if all the eligibility requirements are fulfilled by the applicant, then they will be enrolled for the MCEP scheme.
6. After enrolling in MCEP, the applicant will be issued with the respective incentive fund for the program they apply to.
7. Later, the fund will be released partially at every stage of the project.
8. There are no fee or charges to enrol in MCEP.
9. The processing time will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

1. To Enrol in Manufacturing Competitiveness Enhancement Programme (MCEP), the applicant must go to the MCEP’s official website. Online Link
2. On the webpage, the applicant must fill in the necessary information.
3. After entering the details, the applicant must submit the MCEP form by selecting the “Submit” button.
4. After submitting the application online, the MCEP representative will process the application.
5. Then, the MCEP representative will contact the applicant in about 4-6 weeks.
6. The further process will be explained to the applicant by the representative regarding the incentive approval and sanction.
7. After enrolling in MCEP, the applicant will be issued with the respective incentive fund for the program they apply to.
8. Later, the fund will be released partially at every stage of the project.
9. There are no fee or charges to enrol in MCEP.
10. The online processing time is about 4 – 6 weeks for enrolling in MCEP.
