Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Re Designation of Flight Examiner, the applicant has to approach the CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the fee prescribed by the officer.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. Further process of verification will be done by the officer.
  10. If the application is successful, the applicant will be invited to attend an interview with the SACAA. The interview will assess your knowledge, skills, and experience as a pilot and examiner.
  11. If the applicant passes the interview, the applicant will need to complete additional training or assessments as part of the re-designation process, which is provided by the SACAA. The training course will cover the relevant regulations, procedures, and requirements for conducting practical flight examinations.
  12. Once the application has been processed and approved, the applicant will be re-designated as an FE by the SACAA. the new designation certificate will be issued, and he/she will be authorized to continue conducting practical flight examinations.
  13. This entire process can be completed within 5 - 6 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
