Apply In-Person:
- To apply for Low Power Sound Broadcasting Service Licence in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA).

- Visit the office of ICASA and obtain an application form to apply for Low Power Sound Broadcasting Service Licence from the relevant department.
- You can also find the application form in “Schedule 2” of the following document: Link
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page, when you visit the office.
- Complete the form as required with relevant details under respective sections. After completing the application form, attach the required documents with the completed form.
- Then, proceed to submit it to the relevant authority at the office in person for further processes. Make the necessary payment as directed.
- After submission, the completed form and corresponding documents will be put into further verification and validation processes.
- Once all the processes got completed, the authorities will perform necessary actions for the license issuance process.

EligibilityEdit
- Any non-profit organisation that wishes to provide the Low Power Sound Broadcasting service is eligible to apply for license under this category.
- Any commercial broadcasting premises like shopping malls/centres, sports grounds, show grounds and drive-in movie theatres, or any other place that the ICASA finds appropriate, can obtain a license under this category.

Low Power Commercial Sound Broadcasting service license: R6642.00
Low Power Community Sound Broadcasting service license: R1328.00
ValidityEdit
Both community and commercial low power sound broadcasting licences shall be valid for three years.
