Apply In-Person and Online:

  1. To Apply for an Estate Agent License, the applicant must go to the Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB) office in South Africa. Contact Link
  2. Before applying for the Estate Agent License, the applicant intending to become an Estate Agent must work as an intern for 12 months under the “Principal Estate Agent/Full Status Estate Agent” in South Africa.
  3. The applicant approaching the “Principal Estate Agent/Full Status Estate Agent” must have a Fidelity Fund Certificate issued by the EAAB under less than 3 years of time.
  4. During the 12 months internship period, the applicant must have a logbook, and should enter details of the various estate agency functions and activities that have been undertaken and performed during the intern period.
  5. After 12 months of internship period, the applicant must complete the FETC Real Estate (NQF-4) – Further Education and Training Certificate program.
  6. Only the intern who completed FETC – NQF 4 certification and other equally qualified certifications is qualified as a Fidelity Fund Certificate Estate Agent by the EAAB.
  7. Finally, the applicant needs to qualify the PDE 4 – Professional Designation Exam, conducted by the EAAB. PDE Exam Application Form
  8. After successfully completing the PDE exam, the applicant must register themselves at the “MyEAAB agent” portal linked here. Online Link
  9. If the applicant is a “New Estate Agent”, then must select the “Click Here” option on the webpage, and if the applicant has already registered on the “MyEAAB agent” portal, then must select the “Click here to login” option.
  10. For the “New User”, the applicant must enter all the necessary details on the registration portal, and must select the “Register” option.
  11. After registering the applicant must login using the credential created during the registration.
  12. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  13. On the login page, the applicant must upload all the certified copy of the Identity document and the letter of employment.
  14. After that the applicant must pay the application fee of R583.00.
  15. The application submission will be finalised, and the application will be forwarded for the approval process to the EAAB officials.
  16. After the approval, the applicant will be issued with the registration certificate, and it can be accessed on the “MyEAAB” portal and the notification of approval will be sent to the registered email of the applicant.
