Apply In-person
- To apply for a Duplicate Registration Certificate of an Aircraft in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the South African Civil Aviations Authority.
- The address and contact details of the South African Civil Aviations Authority can be found in the following link: Link
- Visit the office and obtain an Application for duplicate certificate of registration as required from the relevant department. Or click here to download: Link
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
- Then, pay the applicable fees as directed to the relevant bank account. Find the information regarding payment in the office website or contact the office.
- After paying the fees, attach all the required documents with the completed application and submit it to the relevant official at the office.
- Then, the application will be forwarded to the concerned authorities for further verification processes.
- Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps for the Duplicate Certificate issuance.
- When the Duplicate Registration Certificate is ready to be collected, the applicant will be sent an SMS from the office and the applicant can collect it by themselves or arrange a courier service for collection.

- To apply for a Duplicate Registration Certificate of an Aircraft through mail, the applicant must apply through a registered mail at the office of the South African Civil Aviations Authority.

EligibilityEdit
- Any person whose Aircraft Registration certificate is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed by any means can apply to obtain a Duplicate Certificate.
- An approved Aircraft Maintenance Organisation which owes the servicing and maintenance responsibility of the corresponding aircraft can also apply.
