South Africa - Apply For Initial Or Revalidation Of National Pilot License

During lockdown, Applications are welcome through the email address of the South African Civil Aviations Authority.
Apply through email
- To apply for Initial or Revalidation of National Pilot License through email, the applicant has to lodge the applications through email address of the South African Civil Aviations Authority.
- The address and contact details of the South African Civil Aviations Authority can be found in the following link: Link
- Download the Application for Initial or Revalidation Of National Pilot Licence by clicking the following link: Link
- Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
- Then, pay the applicable fees as directed to the relevant bank account. Find the information regarding payment in the office website or contact the office.
- After paying the fees, make scanned copies of the required documents and the completed application form. Proceed to submit it through the following email address: [email protected]
- Indicate the license number of the particular category that you are applying as the subject of the mail.
- Then, the application will be forwarded to the concerned authorities for further verification processes.
- Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the document will be processed for issuance.
- When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be sent an SMS from the office and the applicant can collect it by themselves or arrange a courier service for collection.

EligibilityEdit
- Any person living in South Africa, who wants to obtain an Initial National Pilot license, can apply.
- Any National Pilot license holder, who wants to apply for a revalidation of such license, can also apply.
