Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To Obtain License to Operate Veterinary Clinic or Hospital, the applicant has to approach the Director-General, Animal Health and Welfare in Animal & Veterinary service contact link
2. Applicant has to get the application form from the respective officer.
3. Complete the form with the necessary details.
4. Make sure that the applicant should have all the necessary documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies along with the application form.
6. Submit the completed application form to the relevant authority.
7. The applicant has to pay the license fee of $350 and submit the receipt as a proof of payment.
8. Upon the successful payment, the board will issue the license within the stipulated period of time.

1. To Obtain License to Operate Veterinary Clinic or Hospital, the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal or tap the following link
2. The applicant needs to login with singpass app or Singpass Id number and password

   Note: If you don’t not have an account you can register by clicking on register for singpass, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.

3. The applicant has to provide the general information and application details.
4. Make sure the applicant has a required documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After successful submission the applicant has to pay the Licence Fee of $ 350 via credit or debit card.
6. The authorized officer will inspect the clinic or hospital Upon full compliance to requirements and submission of required documents, Animal & Veterinary service will approve the application. The applicant will receive a notification via email and GoBusiness within 3 working days.
7. AVS will post out the certificate within 21 working days upon successful payment.

Need for the Document

• Any person who wishes to practise veterinary medicine in Singapore is required to apply for and obtain a veterinary licence from the Director-General, Animal Health and Welfare. This requirement is stated under Section 53 of the Animals and Birds Act.
• Any person who wishes to operate and maintain a premises as a veterinary clinic or hospital must first obtain a licence from the Director-General, Animal Health and Welfare. This requirement is stated under Section 54 of the Animals and Birds Act, and the Animal and Birds (Veterinary Centres) Rules.
