Apply Online

1. To Obtain LPG Petrol Flammable Material Storage License (Permit), the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal or tap the following Link
2. The applicant has to login with either Singpass app or Singpass Id number and password.

   Note: If you don’t not have an account you can register by clicking on register for singpass, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.

3. The applicant has to provide the general information and application details.
4. Make sure the applicant has a required documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After successful submission the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee via credit or debit card.
6. The authorized officer will inspect the storage place Upon full compliance to requirements and submission of required documents, SCDF will approve the application. The applicant will receive a notification via email and GoBusiness within 3 working days.
7. SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) will post out the certificate within 7 days upon successful payment.

Eligibility

All storage of P&FM, regardless of quantity stored, have to comply with fire safety requirements for storage of flammable materials in premises. All storage of P&FM must be indicated in building plans submitted to SCDF for approval. Storage licence is not required if the quantity stored or kept is below the licence exemption quantity as follows

• Class 0 (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)
  • For private use in a dwelling house - not more than 30 kg
  • For use in an eating place - not more than 30 kg per stall where the maximum quantity to be stored in an eating place does not exceed 200 kg
  • For use in a restaurant - not more than 200 kg per kitchen
  • For use in factory - not more than 300 kg per factory
• Class I Petroleum kept in air-tight containers
  • For private use in a dwelling house or for use in any business other than in a factory - not more than 20 litres
  • For use in a factory (bulk or package) - not more than 400 litres per factory
• Class II Petroleum
  • For private use in a dwelling house or for use in any business other than in a factory - not more than 200 litres
  • For use in a factory (bulk or package) - not more than 1,000 litres per factory
• Class III
  • For private use in a dwelling house or for use in any business other than in a factory - not more than 200 litres
  • For use in a factory (bulk or package) - not more than 1,500 litres per factory.

Fees

• Fee for this procedure is determined by the agency.

Validity

• The validity of the certificate is for one year.

Need for the Document

• The Fire Safety Act (FSA) regulates the storage of petroleum and flammable materials. A licence is required for storage of highly flammable petroleum and flammable materials products with a flash point below 930C. The regulatory control will ensure that proper fire safety measures and procedures are undertaken by the license for the storage of petroleum and flammable materials in the premises and within the compound to ensure safe environment.
