ProcedureEdit

  1. To obtain a safe conduct document or emergency passport, an applicant will need to go to the Aliens Police and Travel Documents Office (DPETV). Note: See "Office Locations & Contacts" section for information on how you can get in touch with the said office.
  2. Applicants will need to submit the following documents:
    1. Written request addressed to the Interior Minister
    2. A certified copy of the national identity card
    3. 3 identity photos
    4. A revenue stamp of 2 000 FCFA
    5. Additional requirements: For officials, must be able to provide a mission order. For minors, they must present a parental authorization.
  3. The emergency travel document will be issued to the applicant on the same day.


Note: In case you have lost your safe conduct document / emergency passport, you will need to follow the same procedure to obtain a new one.

EligibilityEdit

All Senegalese citizens without a passport can apply for a safe-conduct to travel in an emergency (mission, internship, training, seminar, etc.) in the Member countries of ECOWAS when it can't wait the time required for the establishment of a passport.

ValidityEdit

The safe-conduct is a temporary travel document. It does not replace the passport and is issued to deal with an emergency.

The pass is valid for a period of one month and only allows to make a round trip.
