Apply Online
- To Get a Copy of Birth, Death or Marriage Certificate, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
- The applicant has to enter Username (e-mail address) and Password to login. If the applicant doesn’t have an account, then click “Register” and register an account.
- After login select type of certificate and start filling the application form.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
- Next the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Review the application and click “submit”
- Next the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested. The fee details are mentioned in “Fees” section of this page.
- After successful payment the applicant can download the receipt as a proof of payment.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
- The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
- The applicant can check the status of the application by simply logging in.
- The entire process can be completed within 15 -20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
Apply In-Person:
- To Get a Copy of Birth, Death or Marriage Certificate, the applicant has to approach the nearby Local Register Office link
Note: The applicant has to enter their Postcode to find nearby offices.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested. The fee details are mentioned in “Fees” section of this page.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
