Procedure

Apply By Post

1. To Apply for Import Licence, the applicant must Post their completed application to Rural Payments Agency – link
2. The applicant has to download the application form from the following link – link
3. The applicant must fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant must attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
6. Post the completed form to the Rural Payment Agency.
7. The Office Address are provided in “Office Locations and Contacts” Section of this Page.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
10. Then the applicant will receive a confirmation email regarding the application and fee details for the application.
11. Please pay the prescribed fee as requested.
12. Then the electronic copy of license will be issued via email if the applicant provided email. Or the post the license to the applicant address.
13. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply By Email Note: If the applicant wishes to submit by email then he/she will need to be pre-approved to do so. For pre-approval, he/she needs to complete and return a Licensing - Submission/Notification of emails form il3 link before submitting any licence applications.
