Apply By Post
- To Apply for Import Licence, the applicant must Post their completed application to Rural Payments Agency – link
- The applicant has to download the application form from the following link – link
- The applicant must fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant must attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Post the completed form to the Rural Payment Agency.
- The Office Address are provided in “Office Locations and Contacts” Section of this Page.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
- Then the applicant will receive a confirmation email regarding the application and fee details for the application.
- Please pay the prescribed fee as requested.
- Then the electronic copy of license will be issued via email if the applicant provided email. Or the post the license to the applicant address.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Note: If the applicant wishes to submit by email then he/she will need to be pre-approved to do so. For pre-approval, he/she needs to complete and return a Licensing - Submission/Notification of emails form il3 link before submitting any licence applications.
