Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for a conductor license in Rajasthan the applicant has to approach the RTO office of the area.
  2. Information related to the RTO offices and licensing authority can be obtained from the “Office and Location” Section of this page.
  3. You will have to submit an Application in application form no. RS 3.1 along with the required documents in front of licensing authority.
  4. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices and should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  5. The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for a motor driving license by reading through the eligibility criteria that have been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down in the “Required Document” section of this page.
  7. Present the completed application forms in one of the counters and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

Apply Online via National Portal

  1. You can also apply for a conductor license through the National Portal, the following link will give you access to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India: National Portal
  2. Or, You can also visit the Website and select “driving license-related services” from the drop-down menu of online services.
  3. You will be redirected to the page where you can select the State “Rajasthan” option from the States listed.
  4. Once you select the State, you will be redirected to a new page.
  5. Click on apply online
  6. From the given “apply online” options select “New Conductor license”, you will be redirected to the instructions page.
  7. Fill the Applicant’s Details as instructed.
  8. Upload the required Documents mentioned on this page
  9. Submit the application.

  1. Medical Certificate certified by a government serving doctor in Form R.S. 3.2
  2. Forms RS 3.9 issued by St. Johns Ambulance Association Validation of First Aid.
  3. Three copies of applicant's latest passport size photograph
  4. The verified copy of residence certificate
  5. Certified Educational Qualification Certificate.
  6. Police certificate certified by the police.
  7. Aadhar Card

EligibilityEdit

  1. Applicant needs to complete the minimum age of 18 years.
  2. Minimum Educational Qualification -
    • Having passed the 10th grade or its equivalent or higher examination and to work as an operator, the knowledge of the language or languages of that area.
  3. The applicant must have proper information related to motor vehicle act related to the duties and functions of the operator.
  4. The applicant's ethical character should be good.
  5. He has a valid "First Aid Certificate" by the St Johns Ambulance Association of India.

  • Half of driving license fees.

ValidityEdit

  • Conductor’s Licence shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of issue and shall be effective throughout the State.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • A license issued by a licensing authority, authorising a person act as a conductor is known as conductor license. According to the rules, there should always be a operator with the driver in the vehicle, which will be responsible for the duties of the prescribed operators according to the rules and will take care of the passengers.

  • Refusal to grant of conductor’s license : A conductor license is refused if,
(a) the applicant does not possess the minimum educational qualification;
(b) the medical certificate produced by the applicant discloses that he is physically unfit.
(c) his previous conductor’s license is revoked.
  • Revocation of a conductor’s license on grounds of disease or disability
(1) A conductor’s license is revoked if the holder of the license is suffering from any disease or disability which is likely to render him permanently unfit to hold such a license.
(2) If the authority revoking a conductor’s license is not the authority which issued the same, it has to intimate the fact of such revocation to the original authority.
(3) The licensing authority before revoking the license, is required to give a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
  • Power of licensing authority to disqualify
(a) A licensing authority is empowered to disqualify the holder of a conductor’s license on account of his previous conduct as a conductor.
(b) The licensing authority has to give reasons in writing and is empowered to disqualify person for a specified period, not exceeding one year.
(c) Before disqualifying the holder of a license, the licensing authority has to give a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
(d) The holder of the conductor’s license has to surrender his license to the authority and the authority has to keep the license until the disqualification period is expired or removed.
(e) If the authority disqualifying the holder of a conductor’s license is not the authority which issued the license, it has to intimate the same to the authority which issued the same.
