- To Report Lost or Stolen Passport, the applicant has to approach the Australian diplomatic or consular mission. Contact details are mentioned in “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page. Or use the following given Contact Link
- An application form is available at the following Link
- The applicant has to fill-in all the details in the form.
- Applicant should make sure to attach all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
- Submit the application with the required document to appropriate office.
- Submitting address is mentioned in “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page.
- There is no fee required for this procedure.
- Government of Australia will issue the certificate and notify the applicant.

- To Report a Damaged Passport, the applicant has to approach the Australian Post or the Australian diplomatic or consular mission and collect the application form and apply as same way for a first-time passport. - Call Government of Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade if the applicant unsure of their passport's condition.
- The applicant has to fill-in all the details in the form.

- Submit the application with the required document to appropriate office.

- People who fail to notify the loss or theft of their passport as soon as feasible may face consequences under the Australian Passports Act of 2005.
- Making false or deceptive remarks is also against the law.
- Up to ten years in prison, a fine of one thousand penalty units, or both are possible penalties.
