Apply In Person

  1. To Obtain Import Plant Based Animal Feed, the applicant has to approach the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and Forestry link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The fee details are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. Then the application will be processed further. If required the office will decide on an audit.
  10. The officers will need to audit offshore manufacturing facilities and export pathways for imported processed stockfeed and their ingredients.
  11. The applicant has to complete the audit questionaries, downloaded the form from the following link
  12. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  13. Submit the complete questionary document through email - [email protected]
  14. Then the officer will assess the information provided to ensure that biosecurity risks are managed at every step of the import pathway.
  15. After the process checking is successful, the officer will come for a site audit inspection.
  16. The audit verification is complete within 1 to 5 days.
  17. If approved, the officer will approve the application, the officer will send the draft import permit with conditions that need to be met.
  18. This entire process can be completed within 10 – 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

FeesEdit

  • There is a scheduled fee of $120 (electronic lodgement) plus a $360 assessment fee. The assessment fee covers the first 3 hours of the assessment. Extra assessment time is charged at $30 per ¼ hour.
