Quebec - Change of Address with Citizenship and Immigration Canada

Apply In-Person:
- To apply for changing address with Citizenship and Immigration Canada in person, the applicant has to visit the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) office.
- The address and contact details of the IRCC office can be found in the following contact link
- Before visiting the office, the applicant has to make an appointment by contacting the IRCC office.
- Then visit the office on the scheduled date at scheduled time and approach the relevant official who is in charge of receiving applicants for change of address in their applications.
- The application process is either online or using the IRCC Web form as applicable to the status of the application.
- The official in-charge will direct the applicant to complete the application process as required or he/she will complete the application on the applicant’s behalf.
- The applicant should provide all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page and also the information required by the official.
- With the help of the information provided by the applicant, the application will be completed and submitted.
- After submitting the application, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, address of the applicant will be changed accordingly.

- To apply for changing address with Citizenship and Immigration Canada online, the applicant has to visit the following application link: apply online
- Visit the link given above, check the ‘terms and conditions’ box and click “Continue” button at the bottom.
- In the next page, application form with relevant fields will open. Complete the form with required details in respective fields.
- Then, click “Continue” button and complete the further steps by following the onscreen instructions.
- Upload the required documents for the application process and submit the application by clicking the applicable button.
- After submitting the application, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, address of the applicant will be changed accordingly.
Apply using Web form
- To apply for changing address with Citizenship and Immigration Canada using Web form, the applicant has to visit the following link Web form
- Open the form by clicking the link and complete it by entering the required details in respective fields.
- Click the tick box and click “Next” button. In the next section, click “Yes” or “No” button as applicable.
- If yes, upload the supporting documents by clicking “Choose Files” button and “Upload” button.
- Then, click “Submit” button and confirm the email address and date of birth in the next page. Click “Next” button.
- After submitting the application, it will be forwarded to the relevant departments for verification and processing.
- Upon successful completion of these processes, address of the applicant will be changed accordingly.

- The applicant can use the online service if their case is being processed in Canada, their address is in Canada or they are moving within three weeks or have already moved.
- If the applicant has an immigration application in process and a representative on file (paid or unpaid), the mailing address in their file will be their representative’s address.
- If the applicant moved to Canada after submitting an application for proof of citizenship (citizenship certificate), search of citizenship records or to renounce (give up) Canadian citizenship to a mission outside Canada and the United States, they have to contact the Canadian embassy, high commission or consulate where they submitted the application to change the address.
