- People who apply for a medical license to work in the food sector, beauty salons, health clubs and laundries have to undergo a medical examination at the Medical Commission and bring all the required documents.
- The service is provided to ensure that the applicant for the medical license is free from any infectious diseases that may conflict with the acquisition of the medical license.
Apply In-Person
- In Qatar, the Medical Commission is responsible for holding medical examinations with the aim of protecting the health of Qatar population and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
- People who apply for a medical license to work in the food sector, beauty salons, health clubs and laundries have to undergo a medical examination. The service is provided to ensure that the applicant for the medical license is free from any infectious diseases that may conflict with the acquisition of the medical license.
- The medical examination is done by visiting the Medical Commission, located on Al Muntazah Street, off the E-Ring Road. The medical commission is the authority responsible for conducting the medical examination.The contact information of the Medical Commision can be found through the following link
- Once you visit the facility, present the required document as applicable to the commission’s officials. These documents include.
- Attach (2) recent personal photos.
- A copy of the entry visa + original passport (for first-time applicants).
- A copy of the valid residence permit.
- A copy of the establishment registration card.
- Previous health certificate in the cases of renewal, replacement of the applicant, or change of profession.
- Vaccination card.
- Copy of commercial registration illustrating the branch to which the applicant is referring to
- Copy of practice license issued by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs to those under family sponsorship
- You will be issued with a Medical Fitness Certificate Form to fill and submit. This form can also be downloaded from the Ministry of Public Health website through the following link. : link
- The commission’s office will go through your documents and you will be asked to make the payment for the medical test.
- A fee of QR 20 is charged for the medical examinations.
- A Debit/Credit Card is used for payment. Cash payment is not allowed.
- After payment of the fees you will be summoned to take the medical examination.
- The medical examination may include Blood Test, Chest X-Ray, Screening for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. (the tests are mentioned in the medical fitness certificate form).
- The results take a period of one to two weeks to come through.
- The result of the medical examination shall be sent electronically to the residency system of the Ministry of Interior.
- The original registration receipt must be presented if you want to collect the health certificate from the Medical Commission.
