Procedure

• People who wish to obtain the Qatari citizenship shall undergo a medical examination at any of the health centres affiliated to the [Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC).
• One of the services provided by the Medical commission department is the Medical examination Service for Qatari nationality applicants.
• The service is provided to ensure that the applicant for Qatari nationality is free from any infectious diseases that may conflict with the acquisition of Qatari citizenship.
  
  

Apply In-Person

1. In Qatar, the Medical Commission is responsible for holding medical examinations with the aim of protecting the health of Qatar population and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
2. Residents who want to obtain Qatari citizenship need to have a medical examination. This service is provided to ensure that the applicant for Qatari nationality is free from any infectious diseases that may conflict with the acquisition of Qatari citizenship.
3. The medical examination is done by visiting the Medical Commission, located on Al Muntazah Street, off the E-Ring Road. The medical commission is the authority responsible for conducting the medical examination. The contact information of the Medical Commision can be found through the following link
4. Once you visit the facility, present the required document as applicable to the commission’s officials. These documents include.

   • The original passport.
   • A copy of the resident visa
   • Passport photocopy
   • Any other document required by the authorities,

5. You will be issued with a Medical Fitness Certificate Form to fill and submit. This form can also be downloaded from the Ministry of Public Health website through the following link. : link
6. The commission’s office will go through your documents and you will be asked to make the payment for the medical test.

   • The fee for the medical test will depend on the tests which will be carried out. Pay the required fees as advice by the officials.
   • A Debit/Credit Card is used for payment. Cash payment is not allowed.

7. After payment of the fees you will be summoned to take the medical examination.

   • The medical examination may include Blood Test, Chest X-Ray, Screening for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. (the tests are mentioned in the medical fitness certificate form).

8. The results take a period of one to two weeks to come through.

   • The result of the medical examination shall be sent electronically to the residency system of the Ministry of Interior.
   • The original registration receipt must be presented if you want to collect the health certificate from the Medical Commission.

• Residents / Permanent residents in Qatar who are eligible for citizenship status are eligible to make this application for the medical test.

1. Fasting is not required to conduct a medical examination (except for some tests that require this).
2. Inform the registration officer/employee of any previous reviews of the Medical Commission.
3. Ensure that all scheduled medical exams are done before leaving the administration building.

13. The sponsor should consult the specialist doctor to inquire about the health status of the sponsored person in case of requesting the return of examinations while observing his instructions
14. It is allowed to inform the applicant of the medical examination of the results of his examinations when requesting a re-examination or lack of health fitness.
