Qatar - Replace Lost or Damaged Permanent Registration Certificate of Big Vessels

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for replacing a lost or damaged permanent registration certificate of big vessels, you should visit the Ministry of Commination and Transport (MOCT) offices, please view the contact details and location maps of MOCT offices through this link: Link
  2. Write a letter clarifying type of lost or damaged certificate and reason for loss this letter has to come from the owner of the vessel
  3. Obtain All the vessel’s certificates issued by the recognized organization and required supporting documents mentioned in the “Required Documents “section below
  4. Then download the application form from the link proved in the “Documents to Use” section below or directly via this link: Application form: Link
  5. Fill the application form and attach the request letter and the rest of the required documents to it
  6. Go to the Ministry of Commination and Transport (MOCT) office to submit the complete application at the reception
  7. The MOCT official at the reception will verify your application and direct you to pay the application fee
  8. Pay the application fee and obtain the payment receipt
  9. Then the application will be forward to the relevant department for processing
  10. Once the certificate has been processed, the ministry will send you a scan copy and you will be required to visit the ministry’s office to collect the new original copy of the vessel registration certificate


Apply Online

  1. Scan the required documents mentioned the “Required Documents” section below
  2. Visit the Ministry of Communication and Transport (MOCT) via this link to submit your application online: Link
  3. Under Big Vessels, scroll to find and select “Issue Lost Replacement Licenses” you can view the details of the application or Click on “Apply” option to direct you to the login page.
  4. Click on login to use the nation authentication system to access your page if you are a registered user
  5. Entre your user name and password and click on “Continue” to login or login using your smartcard.
  6. If you are not a registered user, click on “Create new account” to register
  7. In the registration page, choose to register as “Qatari citizens and residents” or “Visitors and business representatives” under account type and clink on "Continue” to go to the personal information page
  8. Fill the all the required information and proceed to the password page enter a strong matching password and press “Continue” to complete the registration.
  9. Go to your email account as instructed and authenticate your account then Login
  10. Once in the account, select "Issue Lost Replacement Licenses" and entre the required data and attach copies of the required document that you had scanned and saved then submit
  11. Pay the application fee using the online platform
  12. Upon a successful payment and submission of your application, you will receive an acknowledgment receipt of the application form the Ministry
  13. Then the application will be processed and you will be sent a copy of the certificate to your email account
  14. You can visit the MOCT office to obtain the hard copy of the new original certificate in person
