Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain duplicate or reissue copyright certificate, applicant has to visit the intellectual property rights protection department at the MOCI office.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective officer at MOCI office.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the public service officer in the intellectual property rights protection department in the MOCI office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After verification process, duplicate copyright certificate will be issued.

Apply Online

1. To obtain duplicate or reissue copyright certificate through online, visit the following link: online portal
2. If you already have an account, please enter your user id and password then click on “login” button.
3. If you don’t have an account, click on “new user” option.
4. Read the general instruction carefully and click on “I Agree” button.
5. In the next page, if you have valid Qatar Residency please choose “yes” from the dropdown menu. If you don’t have valid Qatar Residency please choose “No” from the dropdown menu.
6. In the next page, please select the document type from the dropdown menu. Then enter the appropriate details from the applicable field and click on “Next” button.
7. Now complete the form with necessary information and click on “Next” button.
8. You will receive an SMS with the verification code to your registered mobile number.
9. In the next page enter the verification code and click on “Next” button.
10. In the next page you can upload the required documents then enter the required information and click on “Next” button.
11. In the next page acknowledgement statement is available, read it carefully then select the checkbox and click on “Submit” button.
12. Now you will receive an email with a case number and a verification link. Verify your email using that link. Then visit the nearest MOCI office and submit the case number to the respective officer which you have received in your email and SMS.
13. After submitting your case number, officers will verify and activate your account.
14. After successful login, please choose “Request to Reissue Copyright Certificate” service from the “Copyright Services” list.
15. Read the general instructions carefully, then click on “Agree” button.
16. In the next page, enter all required applicant data then click on “Next” button.
17. In the next page, please enter the required information then you can upload the required documents mentioned in the required documents section below then click on applicable button.
18. Once you complete this, you will be redirected to a screen in which you can review your information.
19. After reviewing your information, pay the appropriate fees through your debit or credit card.
20. After successful payment, duplicate copyright certificate will be issued.

• No objection letter from office or company on transfer of registration.
• Power of attorney document (in case of a request submitted by the agent).

Eligibility

• Individuals who have Qatar ID card are eligible to apply.
• Companies that have commercial registration are eligible to apply.

Fees

Applicable fees are as follows:

• Students: QR50.
• Individuals: QR100.
• Companies and institutions: QR400.
• Educational or research institutions: QR500.

Validity

• Duplicate certificate will be valid until the existing certificate is valid.

• Applicant shall submit a request to the intellectual property rights protection department in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) to obtain duplicate or reissue copyright certificate.

• When your copyrights certificate has been lost or damaged, you have to obtain a duplicate copy as a replacement, by applying in prescribed format
