Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To modify tenant name on new lease contract of plot, applicant has to visit the technical affairs department at Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office.

3. Application form can be downloaded from the below link: Application form.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the technical affairs department in the MME office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After verification process, tenant name on new lease contract of plot will be modified.

Required Documents

• Copy of the lease contract and the plot of the land.
• Copy of the Qatar ID card of the tenant.
• Copy of commercial register, commercial license, establishment ID, in case there is a trade name for both parties, along with a copy of the authorized signatory.
• Copy of licenses Industrial (in the case of industrial use).
• Copy of the annual rent payment receipt until the end of the due financial year.
• Copy of the area plan (PD) and (Policy Plan).
• Official powers of attorney in the case of a power of attorney to act (original or true copy).
• An inventory Heirs and legal agencies (if there are heirs).
• The court letter, passport certificate or commercial register (documents proving the amendment, the newspaper announcement of the commercial register).

Documents required upon issuance of the contract:

• Submitting the original contract and the land plan for their cancellation and issuance of a new contract.

Documents required after the approval of the contract:

• Authorization to receive a copy of the new lease contract after its approval.

• Companies and institution that have commercial registration and establishment ID card are eligible to apply.

• No fees are required for this service.
• Only annual rent is collected in advance at the start of each new financial year.
