Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To get an housing admission in Qatar University, applicant has to visit the housing department at Qatar University office.

3. Obtain the application form from the respective officer at QU office.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the Qatar University office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After the verification process, housing will be allocated.

Required Documents

• Copy of the Qatar ID card (For Qataris students).
• Copy of passport (For Non-Qataris).
• Two passport size photography.
• Admission Statement from QU Admission Department.
• Course registration from.
• Fees payment voucher (For resident students with payable fees).
• No-objection certificate issued by a Police Department located in student’s residence area (Qataris and non-Qataris residing in Qatar) [For male students only]
• Copy of the father’s passport. If dead, please provide an official proof of the guardian/sponsor with copy of their valid passport/ID (For female students only).
• Written approval from the father/guardian on the housing application with their contact details (For female students only).
• Letter from the local Municipality of where the student is living outside Doha, stating that distance is more than of 50Km from the University (For female students only).

Eligibility

• Qataris who have Qatar ID card and Non-Qataris who have passport are eligible to apply.
• Qatari students whose place of residence is more than 50 km away from University can apply.
• Staff or faculty who are appointed on Grade 6 and above are eligible to apply.

Fees

• For students:
  • QR 800 for each student in a shared room (applicable to students on payable fees basis) including all services offered in the residence payable during the first week of the academic semester.
  • QR 2,000 for each Graduate student in a single room including all services offered in the residence payable during the first week of the academic semester.
• For staff or faculty:
  • To pay fully refundable QR 2,000 as an advance deposit for water and electricity.

Validity
