Qatar - Apply for a Private Parking Permit

ProcedureEdit

  • This service enables citizens and residents to submit a request to the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) to approve using an area of land as a private parking lot.

Apply Online

  1. One can make an application for a private parking permit online.
  2. The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
  3. If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card.
  4. Once logged in select the required transaction type. i.e.
    • Personal for smart card owner/applicant,
    • Company name for an authorized person.
  5. On the next page select “Traffic Services” on the dashboard then click on the “Request for Private Parking”.
  6. This will take you to the “Applicant” page where you are to enter and review the applicant’s basic information. These include the Applicant / Company’s name and QID number / Company registration number.
  7. After keying in the information PR, proceed to the “Address” page where you are to enter the full address of the required private parking location.
  8. After that, go to the “Summary” page where you can review and confirm the entered information.
  9. Confirm the application before submitting it to the Traffic Department.
  10. A confirmation SMS will be sent to the applicant confirming the application. Once the application is processed the applicant will be notified through his/her MOI e-services portal and SMS to collect their private parking permit.


Note:

  • In case of rejection of the application the applicant can resubmit the application.
