Qatar - Apply for Social Security Pension for an Orphan

This service enables an orphan whose father is deceased, who didn’t exceed 18 years of age (unless he is still enrolled in education), and has no breadwinner or source of income sufficient to live, to apply for a social security pension from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs (MADLSA).

Apply In-Person

  1. The applicant for the Social Security Pension for an Orphan, has to make an application in person to the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA). This can be done by visiting the MADLSA (offices) to complete the Application for Social Security Pension of Orphan form.
  2. The form can be obtained from the MADLSA Qatar offices or downloaded from the MADLSA Website, through the following link: link
  3. Fill in the required information correctly .
  4. The completed form is to be submitted to the licensing authorities along with the required documents. A list of the required documents is mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  6. After verification process, the applicant will be later requested to collect a new Social Security pensioner’s card on a specified date.


Note:
  • The applicant should be residing permanently in the country in the time of application to qualify for the pension.
  • The custodian should have a court ruling on custody and the child should be enrolled in education.

The Cabinet Decision No. (46) of 2014 regarding determining the value of the pension due to the categories stipulated in Law No. (38) of 1995 concerning Social Security and its regulated rules.
