Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Health or Medical Certificate, the applicant has to approach Department of Healthcare Professions Qatar Link
2. If the health or medical certificate requires a medical examination, schedule an appointment at a designated medical facility or hospital. The facility will conduct the necessary medical tests and examinations based on the requirements.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the authorized officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. If a medical examination is required, attend the scheduled appointment and undergo the necessary tests and examinations.
7. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
11. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
12. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
13. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be notified to collect his/her health or medical certificate from the relevant authority. Follow their instructions for collection.
14. This entire process can be completed within 2 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

The applicant is eligible to apply for a health or medical certificate in Qatar if he/she meets the following requirements:

• The applicant must be a resident of Qatar.
• The applicant must be a Qatari citizen or a holder of a valid Qatari visa.
• The applicant must be physically present in Qatar when he/she applies for the certificate.

Fees

• The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.

Validity

• The health or medical certificate is valid for 1 year. The applicant must renew his/her certificate every year.
