Procedure

• Developers may apply to have their buildings or facilities inspected. The Fire Prevention Department of the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Civil Defense is responsible for enforcing fire safety regulations on buildings and facilities.
  

Apply In-Person

1. Developers may apply to have their buildings or facilities inspected to get an inspection certificate or report by applying for this service with the General Directorate of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
2. The first step to do this is to approach the General Directorate of Civil Defense offices where you will be issued with a Building Facilities Inspection Form to fill and submit. The application form can be also obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link: Building Facilities Inspection Form and filled beforehand.
3. Fill in all the required information correctly, print the completed application form, and then attach the required documents. These include :

   • Building permit issued by the Ministry of Municipality.
   • Valid commercial registration of the Advisory Office of the main contractor and fire contractor.
   • Image of non-waterproof fire contractor and equipment used in building
   • Owner’s personal card and consultant personal card and mobile number or advisory representative in case of attending.
   • Blueprint of the building
   • Maps of civil defense and report of the Advisory Office benefit from updating the existing system for the fire and ready for inspection.

4. Submit the completed application form and required documents to civil defense offices for processing.
5. The officials from the General Directorate of Civil Defense will carry out investigations on your application and inspection of the premises to verify that everything is in order.
6. The processing time is usually between three to five days. However the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
7. Once the processing is done you will be issued a certificate or report of inspection.
   

Note:

• Please produce identity card (owner) or (consultative) upon receipt of a certificate or report.

1. This service is only available at accredited consultant offices.
2. The first step is to approach your consultant a request that they make for you a building and facilities inspection application
3. Fill out and submit the online form as directed by the consultant
4. Fill request disclosure of buildings and installations (a and b).
5. Provide a list of equipment and companies implementing civil defense work.
6. Attaching copies of the following:

   • Building permit issued by the Ministry of Municipality.
   • Valid commercial registration of the Advisory Office of the main contractor and fire contractor.
   • Image of non-waterproof fire contractor and equipment used in building
   • Owner’s personal card and consultant personal card and mobile number or advisory representative in case of attending.
   • Blueprint of the building
   • Maps of civil defense and report of the Advisory Office benefit from updating the existing system for the fire and ready for inspection.

7. Submit your application.
8. You will receive a confirmation message confirming that your application has been received and you will be asked to wait for the application to be processed.
9. The processing time is usually between three to five days. However, the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
10. Once the processing is done you will be issued a certificate or report of the inspection.
