- The ministry of Public Health allows individuals with Qatari birth certificate to make multiple copies of their birth certificates. It also allows these individuals to acquire birth certificate in multiple languages .

- You can apply to issue a Copy of Birth Certificate, by following these steps:
- To make an application to obtain a copy of a birth certificate in Qatar; one has to make an application to the Ministry of Public Health. The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is the authority which issues birth certificates in Qatar.
- The first step is to send a request by email to the MOPH using the following email address ” Birth&[email protected] “ with the following title heading “Application to issue copy of Birth Certificate”.
- Attach all required documents (color copies). Details of the required documents can be obtained from the “ Required Document” section of this page
- In your email request, mention the number of copies of the birth certificates you want and also mention the languages in which you want the certificates.
- After reviewing and approval of your application, the birth and death committee will contact you with the required fee details.
- Pay the required fees and submit the payment receipt for the birth certificate copies.
- Once you make your payment, copies of the certificates will be processed and you will be contacted to pick the birth certificates.
- The required certificate and the copy will be ready to be collected two weeks after submitting the application, on Wednesday and Thursday of each week from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm.
- You have to book an appointment for collection of the birth certificates by contacting the Births and Deaths Committee on phone numbers (44070037-44070061-44070071-44070010-44070045-44070021) or by the following email address ” Birth&[email protected] ”.

A. First: Qataris ( Qatari Father + Qatari Mother )
- Valid original and copy of father’s and mother’s ID.
- Valid original and copy of the ID of certificate’s holder’s.
- Copy of Death Certificate of the deceased father or mother.
- Valid original and copy of the applicant’s ID.
- Authorization letter for the representative and his ID
B. Second: Qataris ( Qatari Father + Non-Qatari Mother )
- Valid original and copy of father’s ID + valid original and copy of mother’s passport + A valid residence permit or entry visa for non-gcc citizens.
- Copy of Death Certificate of the deceased father or mother.
- Valid original and copy of the certificate’s holder’s ID.
- Authorization letter for the representative and his ID.
C. Third: Non-Qatari
- Valid original and copy of father’s and mother’s passports + A valid residence permit or entry visa for non-gcc citizens.
- Valid original and copy of the certificate’s holder’s passport + Valid original and copy of ID.
- Copy of Death Certificate of the deceased father or mother.
- Authorization letter for the representative and his ID.
D. Fourth: Official copy of birth certificate for a child born in Doha living outside
- Official authorization letter for the applicant living in the State of Qatar, accredited by his Embassy + Official identification of the applicant.
- Personal identification of the certificate’s holder + official identification of the mother and father (accredited by the Embassy) or official letter by the Embassy stating their names and nationalities.

EligibilityEdit
- Individuals born in Qatar and of Qatari Parents (either on or both)
- Individuals born in Qatar to non-Qatari parents are eligible to get a birth certificate but are not eligible to get citizenship.
- Individuals born to Qatari parents abroad are also eligible for this application.

- All applications for birth certificate copies which requires for change of information (adding, deleting, or changing of citizenship) shall be reviewed by Birth and Death Committee, which meets every Monday. The application shall be submitted at least 15 days in advance in order to complete the procedures.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- The birth certificate is the first step towards the full exercise of citizenship. It is a proof of citizenship in Qatar and enables the holder to access the rights of a citizen of Qatar.
- It proves your existence, your place and the date of birth, it is a legal document that proves and provides the names of your parents. i.e. it shows one’s kinship.
