Punjab - Apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)

- The “Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET)” is conducted by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in government or private schools.
- There will be an official notification release by the respective board for PSTET. On the issue of notification, the deserving candidates shall apply to register for the PSTET.
Apply Online
- The candidate shall use the following link to reach the respective portal to apply online Link
- In the given page, please click on the “New User” option under the “Login / Register” section on the left part of the screen to reach the declaration page.
- Please go through the information. Click on the checkbox for the declaration and then click on the “CLICK HERE TO PROCEED” button at the bottom to reach the “Registration Form” page.
- Please complete the page prompts as appropriate. Make sure to enter the valid mobile number and Email Id at the applicable prompts. Please enter the code at the given space as appropriate.
- Please click on the checkbox for the declaration and then click on the “Submit” button to reach the ‘OTP Verification in Your PSTET Account!” page.
- An “OTP” will be sent to the applicant’s mobile number. Please enter the received “OTP” at the prompted space next to “Please Enter OTP” and click on the “Verify OTP” button to get prompts to set the password. Please enter the password at the prompted space and then click on the “Proceed” button to reach the dashboard.
- Here, please click on the “Fill/Edit General Profile” option from the left part of the page to reach a new page. Please complete the page prompts as appropriate. Once the mandatory details are filled in, please click on the “SAVE & CONTINUE” button at the bottom to reach the dashboard.
- Now, please click on the “Update Photo & Signature” option from the left part of the page to reach a new page. Please upload the photograph and signature using the prompts as appropriate. Once the uploading of documents is done, please click on the “SAVE & CONTINUE” button at the bottom to reach the dashboard.
- Now, please click on the “Preview & Lock Form” option from the left part of the page to reach the preview page. Please go through the entered detail. If all are in place, then click on the “Lock Form” button at the bottom to reach the dashboard.
- Please click on the “Paper / Payment / Print” option from the left part of the page to reach the “Applied Details” page. Here, the applicant shall click on the “Apply for Paper | Print” option to get the options for the user to select the paper.
- Please select the applicable option and complete the prompts as appropriate and click on the “Update” button at the bottom.
- Now please click on the “Pay Now” option to reach the payment gateway page.
- Please process the payment gateway page as per the online payment option as applicable to complete the submission of application. Also, the online application form will be provided for the user to download or save for future use.
- This application will be processed by the respective department. Once the department approves the application, the applicant will get intimation and the admit card will be provided as per applicable norms.

EligibilityEdit
- The candidate should be the citizen of India.
- The age limit for the candidates is 18 Years to 40 Years.
- For those who belong to SC, ST, and OBC, age relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 Years.
- Candidates should be class 12 passed or a graduate from a recognized university with a minimum of 45 per cent marks.
- Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or completed any other prescribed teacher training programme/course.

- The TET application fee is prescribed by the respective exam bodies.

- The approved application is valid for the period (year) for which the examination is notified.
