Apply In-Person:
- To Request for Arbitration (CIAC), the applicant has to approach the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant has to download the application form from the following link
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- The fee must be paid before the arbitration process can begin.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Once the Notice of Arbitration and the arbitration filing fee has been received, CIAC will appoint an arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators to hear the dispute.
- The arbitrator or panel of arbitrators will contact the parties involved to schedule the arbitration proceedings.
- The parties involved must attend the arbitration proceedings in person or through their authorized representative.
- The arbitrator or panel of arbitrators will hear the evidence and arguments presented by the parties and will issue a decision, which is binding and final.
- To move further, the applicant has to follow the instruction given by the officer.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 -30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
