Apply In Person

  1. To Obtain Permit or License for Importing Meat, the applicant has to approach the Department of Agriculture, NATIONAL MEAT INSPECTION SERVICE link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or download it from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. Once the verification process gets completed, the officer will come for the site – inspection to check the product quality.
  10. The meat export and import division (MIED) is responsible for the evaluation, and verification of technical and documentary requirements and inspection of meat establishments for importing meat.
  11. Upon successful completion, the applicant will get the permit through mail or by visiting the office.
  12. This entire process can be completed within 10 - 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  1. To Obtain Permit or License for Importing Meat, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. The applicant has to upload the documents with the business registered email ID.
  3. The applicant has to enter the details and click the “Next” button.
  4. The applicant has to upload all the documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After uploading click the “Submit” button.
  6. Once the verification process gets completed, the officer will come for the site – inspection to check the product quality.
