Procedure

Apply in Person:
Amend the Business Registration Permit Prior to the Expiration of the Current Business Permit.

1. The application to amend business permit registration information shall be made either at the Department of Trade & Industry – DTI Office or Negosyo Center Regional/Provincial offices prior to its renewal. since this transaction cannot be completed online.

6. Eligibility requirements are listed under the “Eligibility” section below.
7. Upon obtaining the form, carefully complete the appropriate information under the relevant sections. The form should be attested(signature) by the registered owner once completed.
8. Attach the supporting documentation as listed under the” Required Documents” section of this page and should be submitted to the regional office either at the DTI orNegosyoCenter; Business Registration Division. Any required documents or information omission will render the application process incomplete.
9. Applicants will be required to make the payment for the required amendment applied. Please refer to this page’s “Fees” section for information.
10. Upon receipt of the application file, will be evaluated by the registration and licensing department which shall approve the application to amend the business registration details, where it is satisfied that the applicant has met all the requirements.
11. The Business Registration Division may request additional information relevant to the application. In such a case, the information must be submitted within a specific period from the date of notification. The Authority shall reject the application if the applicant fails to submit the required information.
12. Within one week of submitting their applications, applicants will be notified of the status of their application (Approval, Deferral, or Rejection) by theBusiness Registration Division.
13. If approved the business registration details will be amended as requested, where the change takes place before the Certificate expires, a Certificate of Change will be issued which is an addendum to the original certificate.
14. When the change takes place after the business registration certificate has expired, an amended business registration certificate is issued.

Apply Online

Amend Registration Informationon a Business Permit During Renewal.
Step 1:

1. Using a browser search the Business Name Registration System, hover the cursor over the “Renewal of BN” option, and click on the “Proceed” tab.
   • Confirm your agreement to the Terms and Conditions of the renewal by clicking “I Agree”

Step 2:

1. Input your Reference Code/Transaction Reference Number (TRN) and click search. Your Business Name should appear in the results.

Step 3:

1. Click on your Business Name and you will be redirected to the Transaction Summary page.       • Click “Next”
2. A confirmation pop-up will appear (Figure D). Choose whether you want to “Renew and UpdateInfo” (skip to Step 5) or “Update Scope and Renew” (proceed to the next step)       • Note: You may update your email address and residential address during the renewal process. You may also update your business address provided that it is within the previously registered territorial scope of the BN.

Step 4:

1. Choose your new Territorial Scope.Note: Changing your scope will subject your Business Name to validation. Enter your Dominant Name and choose the appropriate Business Name Descriptor by typing keywords that describe the nature of your business, then click the "Check Name Availability" button. Once validated, click the “Next” tab.

Step 5:

1. Review the details of your registration in the Regular Renewal page. Fill up the required fields and update your email, business address, and residential address if necessary.Note: In the "Philippine Standard Industrial Classification"  field, simply type in the words that best describe the nature of your business. Select the appropriate business name descriptor that appears based on what you filled in.

Step 6:

1. Once completed, click “Next” and you will be redirected to the Regular Renewal Summary page.       • Review the content for accuracy and click “Next”.

Step 7:

1. A pop-up with a new Reference Code will appear. Take note of it as this will be used in all your transactions with BNRS.       • Click “Continue” to proceed to the next step

Step 8:

1. Signify conformity to the Undertaking by clicking “Proceed”. You may download the Undertaking for your files.

Step 9:

1. The payment section will subsequently appear whereupon you should select the payment method prescribed by the system (e.g. DTI Teller, GCash, Pay Maya, Land bank Link.Biz, Credit/Debit Card). Effect payment via the payment channel selected.       • Pay the registration fee within seven (7) calendar days from the date of application. Otherwise, the BN application will be deemed abandoned and subsequently nullified.
2. Once the transaction is confirmed, you have successfully renewed your Business Name Registration, visit theDTI or Negosyo Center Regional/Provincial office to collect the amended business registration certificate is issued.

For Change in Territorial Scope:

• Submission of authorization letter of authorized representative and presentation of authorized representative’s valid ID

For Change of Business Information:

• If a change in the registered BNowner’s name –
• Submission of a clear certified copy of the marriage certificate or appropriate judicial decree or presentation of the original marriage certificate and submission of a duplicate copy thereof.
• Submission of authorization letter of authorized representative and presentation of authorized representative’s valid ID
• Payment of application fee
• If change, in registered BN owner’s address and/or business address
• Submission of authorization letter of authorized representative and presentation of authorized representative’s valid ID

• If a change of civil status
