Apply In-person.
- To apply for a driver’s license in Canada the applicant will need to first get a Learner’s license.
- Visit the nearest Drive Test centre or the ServiceOntario Bay and College location in downtown Toronto
- The applicant will have to book an appointment online.
- The applicant can find the nearest centre and book an appointment here book online
- The applicant will have to pay a fee.
- The registry agent will check to see if you have good vision.
- Once the applicant passes these tests, a learner’s license will be issued.
- The applicant will receive a temporary license which they can use until the license card arrives by mail.
- Once the applicant receives the license card, they will have to destroy the temporary license.
- After 12 months, the applicant is eligible for a G1 road test.
- Schedule a test with the nearest drivers test centre.
- The registry agent will inform you of the documents that are needed.
- The applicant will have to pass a vision test.
- The applicant will have to give a driver’s test.
- Once the applicant passes these tests, they can buy the license card.
- The applicant will be given a temporary license card until the card arrives through mail.
- Destroy the temporary card once the license card arrives through mail.
- After passing the G1 test, the applicant will receive a G2 license.
- After a period of 12 months and without any suspensions, the applicant can apply for a G license, to apply, follow these steps:
- Schedule a test with the nearest drive test centre.
- The registry agent will inform you of the documents that are needed.
- The applicant will have to pass a vision test.
- The applicant will have to give a driver’s test.
- Once the applicant passes these tests, they can buy the license card.
- The applicant will be given a temporary license card until the card arrives through mail.
