Apply In-Person:
- To request Disconnection of Electricity Services in person, the applicant has to visit the office of its Electricity Distribution Company.
- Addresses and Contact details of the Distribution companies that comes under the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission can be found in the following contact link
- Visit the office with an application letter to request Disconnection of Electricity Services.
- The company may also need you to complete an application format for granting the approval for Disconnection.
- Follow the instructions of the person in-charge for the Disconnection of Electricity Services and complete the application process as required.
- Submit the required documents along with the application form. Refer “Required Documents” section of this page.
- On receipt of the application form and required documents, the authorities will proceed to verify and assess the application package.
- Once the application is found sufficient, the officials will verify that whether all other occupants (if any) are also in agreement with this process.
- Then, the Distribution Company will make the necessary arrangements required for the disconnection of the applicant’s electricity service.
- Also, the Distribution Company issues a Written notice regarding the Disconnection which will contain the date, time and reason for the Disconnection, format to be followed if the customer requires reconnection and contact details of the Distribution Company.
